The Geotechnical Group of the Department of Civil Engineering at the Federal University of Santa Catarina welcomes all its visitors.
The Geotechnical Science is understood here as the branch of Civil Engineering which makes use of the engineering knowledge applied to the design and construction of civil works whose performance depends upon of SOIL and/or ROCK behavior.
Such understanding allows the Geotechnical Science be divided into two main parts:
